Candidates should demonstrate a high level of creative and technical design skills as well as experience managing multiple complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teams. Candidates should have experience working with local codes, preparing construction documents and specifications, and providing construction administration services.
A strong interest in urban design, green infrastructure, stormwater management and low impact design is desired. The candidate must have a broad view of the capacity for landscape architecture and urban design to affect positive change, demonstrated excellence in design graphics and creative problem solving, and strong writing and project management skills.
In addition to technical proficiency, candidates should be comfortable serving as a firm ambassador, demonstrating experience in building engagement with community groups and nonprofits. Additionally, the qualified candidate should have an interest in leading internal and external presentations, producing published essays/thought pieces, participating in conferences and community events, fulfilling the role of a subject-matter expert (SME), and interacting with various communities and key stakeholders – ultimately helping the to advance the firm’s reputation, industry position, and quality of work.
• Ability to coordinate design teams (internal and external)
• Ability to lead public meetings and client presentations
• Knowledge of construction detailing and documentation and specification preparation
• Experience with quality assurance/quality control processes
• Experience in construction administration
• Capacity to write clear and communicative project narrative text
• Fluency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD
• Proficiency with SketchUp, ArcGIS, Rhino and/or 3D Studio Max is highly beneficial
• Fluency in English – written and spoken
Years of Experience 3-8 Years
Education Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design
Licenses Landscape Architecture License in the State of Texas preferred, but not required
